In addition to full-service design projects described above, I recently launched a new stand-alone offering that went live about a month ago for Floor Plan Review + Consultations.

OFFERING NEW STAND-ALONE FLOOR PLAN REVIEW + CONSULTATIONS In those situations we outline the scope of work going into the project so it’s clear who’s providing what services for the clients. There is some cross-over between what an architect does and the services I provide as an interior designer. In both cases, we are a part of a design team where talented and skilled people with different areas of expertise come together to create a custom home for the clients, that meets both their aesthetic and functional needs. The floor plans then get passed on to me to edit, perfect and refine what’s there. The remaining 60% of our projects are first designed by architects, engineers or building designers. if floor plan revisions are needed to accommodate the exterior design. During the design of the roof and exterior elevations, we work in tandem with the architects and engineers. Once we have the floor plans close to being finalized, we then pass them on to architects or structural engineers to design the exterior, including rooflines and all the construction documents. The structural design for these projects is done by structural experts such as architects and structural engineers.įor new build projects, about 40% of the time, we design the floor plans from the beginning. We design floor plans for remodel projects and additions, and all the accompanying design drawings (interior elevations and perspectives).
